Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC/R Parts Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry with a strong background in parts management. The primary responsibility of the Parts Manager will be to oversee the parts department, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service. This role will involve managing a team of parts specialists, coordinating parts orders, and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

  • Manage the parts department, including overseeing a team of parts specialists. 
  • Develop a culture of excellence in procuring parts critical thinking to ensure first time fix rates.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize parts inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with the service branches to provide technical support and assistance with parts selection for customer projects.
  • Monitor parts orders and ensure timely follow-up to expedite delivery and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, orders, and sales transactions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and advancements in HVAC/R technology.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in parts management, preferably including experience with a major HVAC and/or refrigeration parts distributor.
  • In lieu of parts management experience a seasoned HVAC/R professional that processes a strong knowledge of HVAC/R parts and suppliers.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, components, and parts.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using computerized inventory and order tracking systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
