Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Inside Sales Representative, makes contact with and builds relationships with potential local customers in order to win new, profitable business for CoolSys in targeted markets. Additionally, this role establishes virtual relationships with existing local customers to help retain and expand our business with them.  This position is accountable for meeting assigned revenue and margin targets.    
  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, inbound lead follow-up, and emails.
  • Manages the entire sales process from lead generation through closing, effectively developing and managing the sales pipeline to achieve annual revenue and margin targets.
  • Effectively sells CoolSys service & maintenance solutions, while uncovering cross-selling of other relevant CoolSys solutions when appropriate.
  • Forms relationships with target customers resulting in profitable conversion to CoolSys solutions.
  • Forms relationships with existing local customers in target markets to help retain and expand our business with them.
  • Works with the VP of Sales to develop annual new customer and sales growth plans with monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
  • Works with the VP of Sales to proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer and regional market needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Establishes strong working relationships with regional CoolSys operations leaders to help ensure alignment of growth objectives.
  • Complies with all required sales processes including operating within approved pricing parameters and maintaining our CRM software (i.e., Salesforce.com).
  • Complies with all customer on-boarding processes when adding new customers to the company’s portfolio.
  • Responsible for the successful on-boarding of new customers.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Mountain Time or Pacific Time region only.
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or solid work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of inside sales experience, preferred, including demonstrated success in adding new customers to a company’s portfolio.
  • Outstanding phone skills.
  • Demonstrate successful sales experience, including gatekeeper skills, feature/benefits selling, and objection-handling skills.
  • Ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, manage all phases of the sales process, and close new business.
  • Prior success selling service & maintenance agreements is preferred.
  • Experience selling into food retail, retail, restaurants, industrial, life sciences, and institutional markets is preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC-R, and energy reduction solutions, is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or a similar CRM software program is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism.
  • Ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set and balance competing priorities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule to meet objectives.
